This is Aurora (AKA Rory) in acrylic - I used to have a Husky so I know how much they love the snow and cold weather, so I painted Rory in that element, along with the celestial phenomenon for which she was named.
Painting two images of the same dog was a challenge. The painting is quite small so getting the detail I wanted, and composing the painting in a way that the background was balanced with the subjects and not competing or overwhelming. I'm not so sure I was successful, but I like it anyway.
